Each Sunday, the church family gathers to worship God together, to explore and grow in life-affirming and life-changing faith, share fun and fellowship and encourage and equip one another as we serve our local community in so many different ways, and help others to know Jesus.
If you are new to the church you will no doubt we wondering what to expect?
Our Sunday congregation may often have an age range from 8 weeks to 80 years - so you won’t feel out of place. Some are regulars, some just come when they can and we often have many visitors who may be with us for any number different reasons. You will always be assured of a warm welcome. If you have children with you check out what we do for children here.
In a typical service we will sing together a mixture of contemporary worship songs and traditional favourite hymns. We will hear the Bible being read and explore what God's word means and how it is relevant to our daily lives. There will be many opportunities for prayer and about every other week we share bread and wine as we celebrate Holy Communion in a very accessible way. See the pattern of our services through the month here.
Services last around 60 minutes depending on the format and many people stick around for a while afterwards as we share refreshments and socialise over tea, coffee and cake!
Visitors frequently tell us how welcome and comfortable the church made them feel from their very first visit, and how much they enjoyed their experience of worship and hospitality.
Of course the best way to know what we are about is just to come and join us! … “Taste and see that the Lord is good” (Psalm 34:8).
Whether you are just curious, doubting, seeking, visiting, a new resident in the area or just passing through - “welcome!”
