Partington Central Academy and Forest Gate Academy

Children love stories and “Open the Book” is way of presenting and exploring the stories from the Bible in primary school assemblies that are lively, engaging, informative and fun. From the grand Old Testament stories of Noah, Abraham, Moses and Daniel, to the life of Jesus and the parables he taught, our team of church volunteers bring these stories alive using drama, mime, props and costumes. Children and teachers also enjoy joining in the action, and together we discover the relevance and significance of God’s Word in the Bible to our everyday life.

Currently our “Open the Book” team go into Partington Central Academy once a fortnight. To find out more about "Open the Book" click here to watch a video from the Bible Society and hear from pupils, teachers and church volunteers.

Our local primary school children also visit the church for special activities, history and RE lessons and festival services.

Broadoak School Partington

Rev. Andrew works closely with Broadoak School in a number of ways including leading assemblies for Key Stage 3 pupils. The topics are diverse and have recently included; the 'interface of science and Christianity' and the 'power of forgiveness'.  Broadoak School pupils in Year 8 also visit the church throughout the year as part of their 'community cohesion scheme' to explore the place and role of the church in our town.
