Pastoral Care

“A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.” John 13:34-35

The New Testament encourages us as a church to love one another. We do this by walking alongside one another, bearing with one another and caring for one another - weeping with those who weep and rejoicing with those who rejoice. The church is a family and caring for one another is one important way we share God’s love. The family extends of course to the whole parish in Partington and Carrington and church members have deep roots here and know the community so well.

Whilst pastoral care is the task of every Christian, some feel particularly passionate about caring for others at times of illness or bereavement, and give their time and energy in pastoral ministry. Our Pastoral Worker is Anne O’Neill who coordinates a team of visitors who regularly keep in touch with members of the congregation and many others across the parish, offering support, companionship and prayer.

To make an enquiry about a pastoral visit for yourself or someone you know, please contact Anne via Rev. Andrew on 0161 775 3542 or through our contact form - in complete confidence.
